The Olympian Gods
Mission 2
The Olympian Gods are always watching from Mount Olympus and are ready to use their power for better or for worse. As producers it is your duty to make sure to include 2 Olympian gods of your choice in your Theatrical play.

Research any Male Greek Olympian gods from the list below:
Zeus (Jupiter)
Hades (Pluto)
Poseidon (Neptune)
Ares (Mars)
Apollo
Hermes (Mercury)
Hephaestus
Aeolus
Hyperion
1. Each group member will pick a god from the list above.
2. Once each group picks a god; then each member will be in charge of finding and researching information about that particular god.
A) Which god was chosen?
B) What is this god known for? God of ____________
C) Did the god's have any children and who were they?
D) Were the god's wives and children mortal (humans) or immortal (magical powers)?
E) Find a story or myth that interest you the most and write a summary about it.
F) Anything else you found interesting!!
3. Come together as group and share and discuss your findings with the other members. Each member will complete the graphic organizer to organize all the material about the 4 gods chosen within the group. (When ready download and print the graphic organizer)
4. As a team chose 2 gods and write a story incorporating both gods, rewriting one of the myths/stories researched.
-The 2 gods used
-Their Powers
-What are they known for?
-Why are they gods of Greece?
*Each member must contribute at least one idea and each story must have 4 sections. *
5. When the group is completed with everything go to the ALMOST THERE mission and let the teacher know.
